Women In Trucking Association announces C.H. Robinson’s continued support as a Silver Level Partner

Plover, WI: The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) is pleased to announce the continued high level support of C.H. Robinson as a Silver Level Partner. This commitment is one of the highest levels of sponsorship a company can contribute to the organization, going beyond the corporate membership in providing both funding and leadership for the board of directors.

Mary Brown, General Manager in C.H. Robinson’s Chicago Central office, has served on the board of directors since 2013. Brown currently serves on the executive committee as treasurer. In her role as General Manager, Brown is responsible for assisting in hiring new employees, providing training and education, analyzing and monitoring  office productivity, and performance metrics, as well as overall office  performance.

“C.H. Robinson has been a partner with Women In Trucking (WIT) for four years, and we’re honored to continue supporting WIT’s mission of attracting and retaining women in transportation,” said Brown. “I am proud of Ellen and the WIT team for all their efforts and accomplishments expanding the organization’s presence in the industry. I am excited to be a member of WIT and an advocate for positive change by engaging more women in transportation,” Brown added.

“Mary’s involvement in the organization at the board level has been invaluable,” said Ellen Voie, WIT’s President/CEO. “She and her company have been passionate about supporting the mission to increase the number of women employed in the trucking industry and have been proactive in providing opportunities and resources to advance this initiative,” Voie added.

Recent initiatives include the Accelerate! Conference and Expo to learn about critical transportation issues and trends, along with perspectives of the positive impact women can have on the industry.
