Plover, WI (April 3, 2017) — Women In Trucking Association (WIT) announces Claudia E. Olea as its April Member of the Month. Claudia is a Retail Truck Sales Consultant for Arrow Truck Sales, Inc. in Fontana, CA.
Because she was raised with the example of a strong, single, widowed mother, by the time she was fourteen she understood that working was the only way she was going to get ahead in life. Born and raised in the East Los Angeles, she graduated in 1993 from Roosevelt High School and continued her education intermittently at Upward Bound, Occidental College, and East Los Angeles College, Monterey Park.
Claudia is a mother of two children, AJ, 17 and Camila Rose, two. She has said on many occasions that the toughest job for her is being a mother. “My heart is always divided, I have to make a living to provide my kids with their needs, and I also have to be the mother that keeps things in control at home, to make sure that we have a home versus just a house to come to … dinner, laundry, baseball mom, and now playing dolls with her two year old daughter.”
Claudia started working in the trucking industry in 1997 as a Rental/Lease Sales Representative for Golden State Truck Center. In 2000, she was hired at TEC of California, Inc. (Volvo/Mack Dealer Group). She then went from Rental/Leasing to Used and New Truck Sales where she made #1 Sales Person in the U.S in 2009 and became a Gold and Silver Member for Mack in 2009 and 2010.She now continues her career as a Retail Truck Sales Consultant for Arrow Truck Sales, Inc. and has become the first female in the history of Arrow Truck Sales to reach “Presidents Club” in 2016.
“I’ve been very grateful to my manager Robert Dalton for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to continue growing as a professional Truck Consultant. “I completed seventeen years in sales, and I am still passionate about consulting with customers and being part of the most important decisions they’ll make in their carrier,” said Claudia.
Claudia continued, “I am blessed to be a hardworking, optimistic and a respectful person. My job is not easy; and the secret to being successful in a male dominant industry is having people that believe in you and respect you for who you are. An “Arrow” can only be set off if it is pulled back. When life’s difficulties pulls you back it, means that you will be set off toward something more significant/bigger. It is then time to concentrate and maintain direction – ‘I believe in myself’ is half the battle!”
Arrow Truck Sales, Inc. was founded in 1950 and has grown to become the leading source of pre-owned medium and heavy duty trucks with locations across North America. They carry a huge, diverse inventory of all makes and models. They are a one-stop shop for financing, insurance, protection plans and more.
